Thetis committee adopts updated land-use bylaws
The Local Trust Committee adopted two amendments to its official community plan and land-use bylaw, then agreed to send them to the Ministry of Environment in connection with a recently rejected rezoning application.

Thetis Island’s Local Trust Committee adopted amendments to its official community plan and land-use bylaw at its July 2 meeting, and voted to forward the bylaws to the Ministry of Environment in reference to a recently rejected rezoning application.[1]
The committee adopted Bylaw No. 113, an amendment to the Thetis Associated Islands Official Community Plan, and Bylaw No. 114, an amendment to the Thetis Associated Islands Land Use Bylaw.[1]
The committee also voted to send the adopted bylaws to the ministry with a cover letter written by the chair.[1]
The minutes record that the committee discussed the minister’s approval of the proposed bylaws before adopting them.[1]
